some advice plz

hi my son is buying a new setup as in Intel Core 2 DUO LGA775 E6600 2.40GHz Retail / Asus P5B Deluxe / 2GB GeIL PC2-6400C4 DDR2 Dual Channel Kit

what i was wondering was what graphics card he might need he will be useing a asus 19 ws moniter at 1400x900 and a benq 17" at 1280x1024 and has a tagon 480 w psu ,would a 8800 gts meets his needs in games like warhammer mark of chaos and up coming titles like surpreme commander or should he be looking at the gtx instead,im guessing a bigger psu might be needed if he went the gtx route,thnxs for any help guys

8800 will kill the games.. easily running them - they arn't overly big on gfx games

for that resolution...the GTS is more than enough. The GTS is a pretty powerful card!If you want to go for the best..then the GTX is the way to go...but the GTS will be sufficient I would think. Also...if he is planning on Oveclcoking that system at all....you can get even more performance from your parts. Ive seen some really good 3dmark scores with OC'd GTS's...as good as GTX's at stock.
From what Ive read...I would say that the 480W is just enough to run the GTX...so no probs for the GTS.
