Some advice

OK so I have recently moved house. Since moving house my computer hasn't worked.

The 1st couple of days were OK but I have been getting blue screens since.

I initially had my GFX cards lose all power and so had to reset, this is when every time I turned on the pc it would boot to windows loading screen and what sounded like clicking before the blue screen.

This made me think that the power supply is borked.( This has since stopped and the power is a coolermaster 1000w )

I booted into safe mode and this went ok with no blue screens, so I reinstalled windows.

I then had a missing boot manager :( so tried to reinstall again but during the installation another blue screen.

There is no message on the blue screen.

I'm after some advice on what to check, what could be wrong, what I can do?

I wont be able to take anything apart until next weekend as its going to take all day and I don't want to do this while there is a little one running around.
Cheers

It sounds to me like the move may have damaged the disks on the HDD.

Open the case and find out the manufacturer of the HDD. Each manufacturer has a disk diagnostic tools which runs from a live CD. Download, create a disk and run. this will verify if the heads or disk are damaged.

Once you've elimnated the HDDs you can then look to other components.

I've come across the "missing boot manager" error plenty of times. The best solution for me was to reinstall windows on my SSD alone without any other drives plugged in. Then when windows had finished installing i could connect the other drives.

Otherwise looks like you may be in for a long haul for testing all of your components.

HDD seems broken to me.

Follow what Admiral Huddy said, and you should be able to find out whether it is the cause or not :)

The HDD is a C300 dont think this would break as no moving parts. A reinstall did fix the problems but just the blue screens now. As Semple has said it looks like I'm in this for the long haul.

Shame I have to wait a week and a half to begin. The downside to watercooling.

Thanks guys, once I begin testing I'm sure I'll be back here for some more advice.

Well I managed to drain my system, take it all out and refit it all back in today. The computer seems to be running OK, so it's likely something was moved during the transportation. Will be doing some testing this afternoon to make sure.

Thanks

Well after some playing around a few programs stopped resonding, internet - media player.. then blue screen again.

So I have swapped out the SSD for a 'normal' HDD, reinstalled drivers and programs and haven't had any issues yet.

Is there a good SSD disk wipe or cheker I can use to see if it is the SSD?

Thanks
