Some Boot Camp help please ?

Hi Guys,

I've been having some trouble getting windows onto my machine. But here's the latest problem. I managed to partition my drive and it then prompted me to insert my windows 7 cd. how ever. I do not have a windows 7 CD, just XP. I was lead to believe that since i am running snow leopard. 10.6.8 and i have boot camp 3 that this would be fine. can any one shed any light onto this ?

also. am i able to boot from a usb stick instead of a disk ?

Which Mac do you have? Newer ones only support Windows 7 in the driver set.

Never tried the USB booting so no advice there.

right ha. one last problem. I haven't got my OS X install disk. so i downloaded a file which would contain all my required drivers. how ever. when firing it up in windows it tells me its not available for windows 7. Im trying to run it on XP. Any one got any ideas or links to a download where i can get it ? would make life a lot easier
