some boot problems here, pls help.

Hi,

My mo/bo (lp ud) and graphics card (1950) came today so I thought a fresh install would be a good idea.

So after putting everything together and swiching on I'm at a screen that says

"CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded
Press F1 to continue, DEL to enter SETUP"

When I press DEL this happens:

I go to bios and set primary boot device as cd rom. Save to bios and reboot. It restarts and then nothing, monitor does the analoge/digital signal search and then it turns off.

When I press F1:

Windows starts, it's all good but if I restart windows I get the same analoge/digital signal search and then nothing.

Any ideas whats wrong here?

I have cleared the bios many times. It doesn't make sense, why would a new board need its bios updating. If there is no other soloution its all going back and I'm buying a gameboy!!!!!

OK I have flashed bios with win flash to v6 and it seems to have worked. I am currently formatting hd for install now. I'll see how it goes.
