Some bugs with my first build...

I've just built my first computer, and there are some things really ruining the experience for me, that I've never had on a pre-built PC.

First off, driver errors. My computer is having trouble getting the right drivers for the front panel and Ethernet controller and such, can you guys suggest any good software to find and download drivers?

Then, there is wireless connection. I know that wired is a lot better in general, but I don't have a port to connect to so I've been forced to use wireless. All the other computers in the house use wireless connections, and they are all steady at about 1Mbps (which is the most we can get at out house). My new build, however, is jumping between 0 and 0.5Mbps constantly which makes the internet practically unusable. I'm using a MicroNEXT MN-WD552B (USB). Is it bad USB drivers? Or a bad product?

These two make for a deadly combination. I spend forever looking for something to download, and then it takes forever to download, and then it's no good anyway :|

Finally, there is the high-load whining. Whenever the computer starts doing something relatively Graphics heavy, a high pitch sound comes from part of it (I'm not sure which). Is it the PSU or GPU whining because they're not getting enough power? (I have it plugged into quite an old 4 way connector/splitter).

I never new it would be so troublesome sorting this out. Help please :(

1) Go directly to the manufacturer website for drivers.

2) Installed the drivers for it?

3) Sounds like it is the PSU. What brand and model is it?
I always plug my pc directly into its own socket on the wall so its getting the best power possible. Try that?

1) OK, will do (it's gonna take a looooong time unless I get 2 sorted first)

2) Yes :\ I installed using the disk that came with it, and I cannot find driver updates anywhere.

3) OK, will try plugging it into the wall direct and see how it fairs.

Did your mobo come with a disc? This should contain drivers for the ethernet and chip set ect if you are having trouble finding the drivers on the internet.

I had a PSU that made a horrible whine not long ago and sadly i had to RMA the unit back to OcUK but the process is pretty painless. If the whine keeps up you can log a ticket in the customer services section(if you ordered the unit from OcUK) and a member of the OcUK staff will have a look at the issue and make some suggestions what you could try to fix / confirm it is the PSU ect.

It's not that OCZ PSU, no. It's a 750w Bronze one. If the whining continues I guess I'll have to get it replaced/looked at :\

And I can't find any disks in the mobo's box. I'm currently downloading all the drivers via my laptop (which keeps a slow, albeit steady connection), and then I'm gonna USB stick 'em over to my new rig.
