If you can't view the linked thread it's due to it being in the beta section since the 364 pointer this was done on isn't out of beta testing yet - however It can't be long now :)

Ah, yes indeed... forgot which forum I was in... link removed and post updated to avoid irritating the Stanford Foldy gods!

and once more

That is seriously impressive. With a decent week's production, I can get about 3500 at the moment - that would take 2 days with a conroe :(

I was getting worried there, but it's an overclocked extremely expensive edition (i.e. the 4MB L2 cache version). That'll be £666+VAT to you from this here establishment.

Very approximate times:

P4 (Northwood) 3.2GHz w/HT 512KB L2 - 40 minutes per frame.
Yonah 1.6GHz (Duo) 2MB L2 - 15 minutes per frame.
Conroe 3.0GHz 4MB L2 - 5 minutes per frame.

That makes Yonah 5 times faster clock-for-clock than the P4. That's shocking.

The top-of-the range Conroe is 1.6 times faster clock-for-clock than the Yonah (a lot of that will be down to the L2 in this case).

My Yonah 1.66 takes about 9.5 minutes to do a frame of one of these units. I suspect the 40 minutes for the P4 will be running two units at once w/ HT? I seem to remember my AthlonXP 2500 takes about 25min.

It does rub it in how fast Conroe is  Definitely due to the L2 though. There's something about these 364-point units which just fits into 2MB of L2 but is too big for 1MB.
