Hi all,

I’m replacing my 12 year old (scary) build and the aim was for it to be a jack of all trades, maybe a bit of gaming and as future proof as possible whilst also not spending a fortune. Easy eh?

I’ve been picking up bits over the last few weeks and trying to find bargains (or at least not pay over the odds - bad timing I know!).

So far I’ve got:
NZXT 510i
MSI B550m mortar wifi
2x16gb Corsair vengeance 3600
WD Blue SN550 1tb NVMe m.2 (ordered)
Sapphire Radeon RX Vega 64 Nitro+ 8GB (picked up second hand)

I was planning on dropping a 3600 in but obviously stock and price is an issue. Being wary of mentioning competitors but I can get a 3800x for circa £272 (in stock) or 5800x for c £405 (in stock). Which is better value for money? Or am I better sitting tight until I can get a 3600 at £160 again or even wait for a 5600x? Any advice would be helpful! An extra £100 wasn’t the plan but if it helps me future proof I can justify it to myself!

Also - looking at the Corsair Tx650m psu - would that be ok with the above combinations?
