Been working on this site for a little while now but I've kinda fallen out of love with it.

I fancied having a go at a horizontal scrolling site but I don't know if it just over complicate things.

Just looking for some thoughts really - likes/dislikes/anything you think could be improved.

I like the side scrolling, windows users will not probably though. :( I have a ball on my mouse.
I got confused by the navigation on the boxes, clicked around for a while before I found next and previous. They blended in well.
Good details on typography, I like that.
Could the wood background be fixed too? How would that look?

Thanks for the comments.

Does any one know of a good hover to zoom script?

Yeah I need to do something with the next and previous buttons. They get cut off if the screen is too small.

I like it, but for the love of God, please rebind the mousewheel so it scrolls horizontally. You can do this fairly easily with jquery.

Didn't know this was possible, will check it out, thanks!

It's nice, but it's very, very dark

It seem's to come out fine on the few monitors I've tried. I could maybe lighten the background a little and one thing to remember is all the place holder images for the designs and the "what's new" section will be replaced with more colourful pictures of the actual designs so that might also help to lighten the overall page.

Nooooo horizontal scrolling! That's not how my brain has been programmed!

Once you get used to it I suppose it's not bad. It transitions well but I'm not sure how many users would be dedicated enough to work out horizontal scrolling.

It's alright, but the first thing I did was use my scroll wheel to try and scroll down. If you're sticking with the horizontal design, you need something to make it really obvious that there's nothing further down the page.

On my laptop (resolution 1280x800) the site has a vertical scroll bar. Scrolls about an inch or two down.

Never seen a horizontal site that I liked. Always been flawed in the implementation.

Like others have said you've got to at least bind the mouse wheel to the horizontal scroll and you've gota check on lower resolutions. I've got a laptop, netbook and phone that all show horizontal scrolling websites in the worst possible light.
