Ok, bear with me on this one.
A Mate of mine has been running Win2000 for soem time now, and recently, he upgraded to Windows MCE.
Now, his DigiCam is a cheap and nasty Medion job.
Whenever he copies his Pictures from the camera to his My Pictures folder, they do seem to go on just fine, however, when he loads up ULEAD Photo Express ( v5 I think it is ) the program crashes back to the desktop.
Now, he asked me to help him out, and what I did was simply to move all his pictures from the My Pictures folder to another one, loaded up ULEAD and it started up just fine, minus the pictures of course...
And then, one by one, I put the pictures back in the My Pictures folder and waited till ULEAD re-read the pictures, I did this with every single picture, and found 2 pictures that were problematic.
Now, these pictures loaded up just fine in MSPaint and so I re-saved them and they then worked just perfectly well in ULEAD... Problem solved.
Now, I dont know what happened, everythign seems to check out just fine, and so I said that it could simply be that the card in his camera may very well be buggered, and so there is nothign he can do really without buying a new card, and then we can find out more?
Anyway, he has been back in touch, and is now blaming me for wrecking his PC... I asked him if he has had a new card, but no, and its still doing it.
He says it was perfect when he was running Windows 2000, and I said that it could be a small issue of ocurse it could, but then it could also be timing and the card might stillbe on its way out?
Cant find any patches for ULEAD Photo Express, so I am assuming its the card for now.
Anyone have anythign to put forward on this?
