Some dirty bird has left a massive skidmark on my bedroom window!

What's the wingspan of a pigeon? I've measured the wingspan skidmark and it's about 90cm wide, so a pretty big pigeon if so!

Did it happen during the night? Owl maybe?

We think it was done at night as we only noticed it in the morning (weren't woken by a thud) and presumed it was an owl chasing after a bat, however...

About 80cm

If so then it's a likely candidate, pigeons are quite greasy birds. Thought it could be a buzzard but they are a lot bigger.

We did search for the bird in case it was injured but found nothing in the area.
