I've just stepped over to tft ( well kinda, im using a dualview setup with my trusted old crt as my 2nd monitor ) and was woundering about some things:

Is there a way to make the menu bar appear on the second monitor too ( i am aware of horizontal expansion mode, but i want to use dualview mode )?

Why is my tft 17'bigger as my crt 17' ?

My tft has a dvi-d input next to a vga one, I dont have a dvi cable and using vga instead, would a dvi cable improve image quality?

Any hints for more optimal usage/better experiance of both screens :) ?

Download ultramon. It's an absolute must for dual monitors and well worth the small cost.

I've no idea why your CRT is bigger than your TFT, that's odd!

The DVI cable would give you a better picture, whether you'd be able to tell with your eyes is a different story. Some people insist on them, some people can't really tell...

Right im using (the trial version of ?) unltramon now.

I like the dual screensaver and the smart taskbar, used to use nview , isnt nview good enough to use ( as its free with nvidia drivers ) , what is the general recommendation?

Asked dad about diff monitor size, he said its generally known tft's are bigger as crt's for same inch ratings...

Finally whats the best place ( as in online shop/local shop or pc fair, not asking for specific names/compedators, im in the netherlands... ) to buy a dvi cable and do i need a different cable for dvi-d and dvi-i ( or whatever the 2nd mode is called ).

Also any more comments on what perticular things become nicer to see through a digital dvi cable than through analog vga?

EDIT: also when i use nvidia stuff to disable/enable one of my moitors, untramon gives problems like displaying dual taskbars on 1 monitor and none on the second :( woundering why they didnt make it compatible but conflicting with nvidia with the ammount of pc's running on nvidia drivers...

the tft is larger because the entire 17" is visible, whereas on CRTs, not all of the screen is visible, as they measure the total screen size, including that hidden by the boarders.

So all TFT's have true inches spec-ed of the viewable area? (just need a confirmation)
