Nice job. I like pretty much every single one... only #27 expression of groom looks a little strange.
Couple of questions for someone starting out like me, if you dont mind:
>I like the shallow DoF; it looks like youre shooting with fast primes to me. Is this the case, as Ive been wondering if I could achieve similar shots with 2.8 zoom lenses.
>I know this one is a bit personal, but how many shots do you take a day and how many do you end up giving to the client?
Anyways. Nice set, and you should be proud of that feedback!
Thanks for that. Does make sense to me. Im building a shopping list in my head for a gear upgrade and it keeps coming back to the 24-70L. I really would like to get a few F1.4 primes, but I think the 24-70 will give me the flexibility till I build up more experience. Just slightly concerned that there is limited potential for bokehliciousness at shorter focal lengths with 2.8, even on FF.
How do you find the 24-70L in that regard?
Very nice, love the last one. I struggle with small groups or pairs at 1.8. I'm never happy with the sharpness of one or the other. I guess I'm looking too hard or need to take greater care to make sure they are on a much closer focal plane?
I'm currently sat at home trying to build up the enthusiasm to edit the 200 odd photos (keepers) I took at my sisters wedding. It's the one bit I really don't care for.
The last one looks wrong somehow to me mate. Is it two different photos combined or something? The tree on the left has a firework clipping straight over it which just doesn't look natural at all to me :S
Rest of the shots are pretty damn nice though. 25 especially is rather good!
Ah makes sense then. Nice capture
Cheers, did you PP exclusively in LR?
Also it's nice that some people leave the exif data in, thanks for that. I wish more people did it for the aid of learning
Great set! Would you say you use the 24-70mm mainly? How much did you charge, if you don't mind me asking?
Digging the night time/first dance ones Mr Ellwood! Did you get one of the fireworks with them outside looking at them? That would be epic if you did!
