Shot a wedding in North Yorkshire a month ago, Tom worked with me on it.

Sure:

The highest Aperture I'll shoot is f/2.8 really that is using a 24-70L lens. Otherwise as you guessed it's pretty much primes throughout the entire day, I use my wide angle rarely, which is only f/4.0.

With the primes I'll be shooting at 1.4-2.0.

Normally shoot somewhere between 2500-3000 photos in a day and deliver about 5-600 photos. This client got 752 to be exact, there were just SO many keepers, and that was after I rejected a lot of stuff for the sake of not giving them too many.

I wouldn't do a wedding without the 24-70 - It's the ultimate all rounder. I doubt you'll find a wedding photographer without one.

My lens list:

17-40L
24-70L
85mm 1.8
135L

Also when working with Tom I have access to the 50mm 1.8

On my shortlist:

35L 1.4
50mm 1.4
Sigma 85mm 1.4

See a trend? :p

Thanks mate. When shooting multiple people with a wide aperture the key is distance.

A friend recently did group shots at 1.2 as he had the room to go far enough back to get them all in standing side by side.

Nope, it's one shot. The fireworks display was run from his driveway (no I am not exaggerating) and so the firework clipping infront of the tree is because that's the way it fired :)

I dialed down the exposure on the initial shot then used the brush to bring up the exposure on the house, that is probably what is throwing you off :)

Na, mainly primes really to be honest...although I wouldn't do one without one!

Price is between myself and the client.
