Hello all. This morning I went out to Stanley Park in the snow, I'd been meaning to go for a while and with the sun out and snow on the ground i had no excuse not to.

A couple of IR to start with:

An ordinary b&w of some trees:

Some daffodils - yes, it is really spring!

All taken with my trusty Canon S2 IS. Thanks for looking.

Evening all, thanks for the comments. Interesting points about using the IR, I only got the filter a week or so ago and this is the first time I've properly tried it out. Personally I think it does add a lot to #1, which to me feels more atmospheric than it would have in colour or ordinary b&w (#3 is almost the same shot taken without the filter). As for #2 I did take one with and one without the filter, this is the one without:

The more I look at it now the more I prefer the colour one.

With the blue cast on the IR shots I think it's down to my post-processing since these are my first IRs, but I don't mind cos the cold frosty feel works quite well considering the subjects. This is how #2 came off the camera.

I think the birds were there all the time, the IR one is 15 sec but come to think of it I'm surprised they don't show up at all! I took the WB from some snow.
