Still looking at building a new PC for photo editing which I posted a few specs for few days ago.
Have a couple general questions though.
I am unlikely to overclock the PC, generally because I am not sure how it all works and I haven't built a PC for about 10 years!
Anyway, on this basis, does it make much difference what chipset I go for?
I looked at the P45 boards but the P35s are quite a bit cheaper.
Also, with memory, will I see a performance difference in a non overclocked system between PC6400 and PC8500?
Finally, what are the differences between the new Core 2 Quad Yorkfield CPUS and the Harpertown Xeons? They seem identical on paper.
Still not sure either whether an E8500 Core 2 Duo or E9450 Core 2 Quad would be my best option?
