Not sure if this should go in overclocking forum or motherboard, but i expect more people would know here.

Firstly im currently at 3ghz on stock volts, and i want to hit 3.2, ive had it there before but 1, it was quite unstable due to stock volts, and 2, my ac7 was constantly at 2500rpm so it was like a helicopter taking off, and whilst it kept it cool, it was way too loud.

Is there anyway to set the fan speed to a constant 1000-1500? So it does a good job cooling but isnt too loud? Ive been told theres a problem with gigabyte boards where you cant adjust fan speed?

And secondly, I dont know anything about volts and stuff, how do i just nudge it up a bit? Just a little bit so its more stable at 3.2?

Cheers.

I would whack it on 1.4v and see if 3.2ghz is attainable. You shouldn't need to touch the chipset voltages for 400mhz on a P35, tho it wouldn't hurt to set the MCH voltage to +0.1v.

I'm not sure about the fan speeds as I've never had a CPU fan attached to my DS3P. Have you the latest Speedfan?

yeah, i think it has some sort of problem with it. it reads temps fine but you cant adjust speed of the fan.

For increasing the cpu volts, what is the option in the bios called? And what do you increase it by? Its just its a weird mobo as for example setting the memory to 1:1 means you go on some weird setting and put it on 2.0, things are called different to other motherboards.

CPU Voltage Control is the CPU voltage setting. Your default voltage will be displayed below it too.
