woot tommorow should bring a small delivery for the lcr,

ordered a BMC CdA for her to cheer me up after all my exhaust woes.

will post some obligitory mincing shots tommorow whilst i fit it

(eventually decided on an exhaust setup too

nah my Only forge motorsport goodies will be the recirc valve already fitted thankyou very much,

fmic is just a no no, theres shrick cams and some headwork hybrid turbo wossner goodies and a whole load more to think about afore that

decat and unresonated milltek

magnex decat pipe is 72 quid and the milltek catback is 320 or so

sub 400 quid

local stick it together place quoted me 611 quid for an exhaust

Does the LCR has the intercooler behind the drivers wheelarch, if so is it vented?

It has two intercoolers.

One behind each foglight, they have airflow, just not really enough if the car is modded.

Brings back memories of fitting the Forge FMIC to a friends Leon Cupra, dropping intake temps on his KO4 equipped car from 70c down to 27c. Ment the timing could be advanced futher and it gained almost 20bhp.

i wasn't too far off

and they offer to fit it for £120 looking at it and then at the tiny amount of space where it needs to go i'd be inclined to pack my tools away and hand over the money

That is massive ! Just sent him a link as he is now running a GT28RS on it but as its a Cupra engine rather than the R the intake is on the wrong side for it.

Not sure how much the cheaper Forge intercoolers are, however thats a very impressive drop in intake temps!

You'll need to move the battery box if you want to get a decent width of cold air feed to the intake.

yeah i've been out pondering that

but got the filter on the now and quite happy with the noise had to take it a blat down the m8 thru charing cross tunnel.

going to try and utilise the existing cold air feed somehow methinks

next step decat pipe then miltek unresonated system (fingers crossed they arrive by saturday
