Hi Guys,

I currently have my i7 950 clocked at 4.2ghz water cooled.

I am tempted with adding my 2 x gtx 580s to the loop.

Im not looking to mod the case really, im using an 800d so would it be safe to cool both the GPU's and the CPU on one loop?

Also some advice on components would be nice.

Looking at going 1/2" id 3/4" od

CPU is cooled via a Swifty Apogee at the moment and the rad is an XSPC RX360 i think, cannot remember off the top of my head. Its the Gloss version.

Current pump is a ddc 1t 10w with an EK top.

I thinking of switching to a Laing D5 Vario which will be mounted within the EK bayres you can get for them.

Will be sticking with the black & white theme i have in my case at the moment. So will be going for white tubing with black ek compression fit barbs.

Coolant will be fesser clear stuff, im fed up with the dyes breaking down and clogging stuff.

Cheers

For coolent just use distilled water + silver coil, far cheaper £4- 5litres/ silver coil £4 and will cool just as well as a pre-mix and will last longer + save a few bob. :)

The more knowledgeable guys will help you out with the set up for cooling x2 GPU's. ;)

Cheers for the suggestion Oldphart, will look into that :)

Im concerned about what blocks to use.

i like the look of EK kit. nickle plated with acetal tops. But i am concerned about mixing metals.

Hi again, l'm using the EK Full Cover nickel - actel top, distilled water + silver coil will be ok, l'm using Thermochill EC6 Clear fluid but will be going over to distilled water + silver coil when l need to change my coolent. :)

miximg metals wont matter in the slightest. your current blocks are all copper based afaik
the ek blocks being nickel dont have any negative effects.

it may be a stretch running the two 580s and the cpu on the triple.

Hi rjkoneill,

I thought that could well be the case :(

Ok maybe i should keep them on air for the moment and think about just cooling the CPU and the chipset on the Rampage III then.

Cheers for the advice OLDPHART, will certainly look to going down that route, i already have the Feser Aqua Ultra Pure Water so will use that with a Silver Coil.

:)
