Sorry if these have been answered elsewhere, but I have looked through the existing threads on the Hazro's and didn't see the answers I'm looking for.
I'm not going to be buying one until sometime next year, but I figured it was a good idea to do some research now. Anyway, I'm obviously looking at the WA and WC, but I'm not certain which will be best. I'll be using the monitor for general use, gaming and digital painting. For the latter I'll be using Photoshop CS3, and I'm looking at getting Corel Painter 11. The paintings will be printed out professionally.
Would the WC be sufficient, or would the WA be the better option due to it being 10 bit (sort of)? I'll be using an Asus 6870 DirectCU, so would that support 10 bit? Hell, I don't know if the programs I'll be using support 10 bit
While I don't watch many DVD's on my rig, it would be nice to have the option. I know the WA supports HDCP, but the WC doesn't. From what I've read in the many thread responses DVDfab Passkey can resolve that issue, but no one has mentioned whether you have to ultimately buy the program, or if Passkey Lite will be enough. Going off the info for Passkey Lite, it would seem that it removes the region lock and will allow you to watch the DVD/Blu-Ray, but it won't remove the encryption that would allow you to rip it. It doesn't state if the HDCP removal is part of the lite version though. Has anybody tried it, or would anybody be willing to try it?
One last question, and thanks for reading this far. Does anyone know if the WC or WA is bought direct from Hazro, whether it comes with the glass panel as standard? I'm assuming that will be the case, but thought it best to ask. I'm fine with the glass panel, but would rather order direct to save money.
Right. I'll shut up now
