Some barsteward has bought and topped up a PAYG sim with my debit card details.

Card been cancelled, will get the money back so no great loss.

However, stupidly they have actually registered the SIM in my name at my address (they must have got a bank statement or something).

So, today I receive a letter from the mobile company (3rd party random company who all struggle to speak english), giving me the mobile number....

The phone rings and sometimes the bloke answers:

So, onto the HELP part. Get ringing him people :D
He can't ring back apparently, outbound calls have supposedly been blocked by the company :]

lol, if only :D
my wife keeps randomly ringing him as well.

we now know him as Andy, thats what we call him when he answers. He sounds nothing like an Andy though ;]

What if he's a murderer.

i seriously doubt that the person who answers has anything to do with the theft of my details, probably a sim bought with £40 credit on and sold for £10 to the bloke who answers ;]

if you get the 'were sorry, you call cannot be completed at this time', i think thats just because call waiting has been deactivated and also unable to leave voice mail now it seems!

Encouraging people to effectively prank call is not something that you should be doing here really, no matter how they obtained the credit.
