I have been looking at monitors and only have a height of around 500mm to place the monitors

was running two acer 24 inch and thought i had decided on two 27 inch monitors

but looking today in currys i,m tempted to go for a new 34inch widescreen and keep as acer as a second monitor.

acers were 1080p and i tend to watch movies rather than game at all.

so regarding this currys have a samsung 4k 60hz monitor either flat or curved with an IPS panel for 250 or 350 quid

reading suggest 1440 .. IPS and either 144hz or 165hz

is this more aimed towards gaming or will 60hz struggle with fast paced films etc..

that around my budget 350.. but could do 450 if it really made a huge difference

thanks

Films are generally 24 or 30FPS... Some are 60 but even that isn't as common.

I'd go so far as to say there is zero point getting something over 60Hz for movies and TV. The features that make gaming monitors good for gaming aren't the same features that would make it good for films and TV e.g. colour accuracy, consistency, brightness and contrast. I'd look for something that reviews well in a video editing, photo editing or home cinema context.
