Some help with a spec please

My mate needs a new base system (exc HDD's) he isnt a big gamer but uses shedloads of media apps. He doesn't need anything earth shattering but needs it to be decent encoding and cos he uses it through an lcd screen it needs to look decent. he has 500-700 quid to spend, here is what i have so far any glaring problems you can see?

oh yeah he has win 64 already too.

Cheers, I will put that to him but he is desperate to get something going as soon as. He's like a dog without a **** when his PC isn't working.

Isn't conroe gonna b very pricey and considering he doesnt play games does he really need it?

maybe a cheaper amd unit would do the job i will have to ask him.

yeah i reckon i may go for a cheaper spec cos i dont think he is gonna need it all anyway. its always the same though isnt it when u are speccing trhere is always something round the corner bigger and better.

cheers very interesting reading, not been keeping up on all the developments recently so will have to do a bit of research.
