Some help with front box on Audigy 2 box

Hi, just got a front box that fits into the front of your computer case to go with my soundblaster live 5.1 card.

Now i bought this 2nd hand the front box.

On it there is of course the ribbon cable attachment point which goes to my sound card.

BUT there is also a few jumpers and also what looks like a USB header PINS, or is it the firewire card hookup point ? as it doesnt say on it.

There is also a floppy power connector. Do i HAVE to power this with a flopppy connector ? because if so, im a bit stumped as i use a Hiper type R and there is only one floppy connector and that is already going to my floppy drive ? any ideas on extensions as I believe the floppy power is a certain voltage ?


If you have one, can you check your manual's and see what the pins do and if it is a floppy connector,

PS: I have tried google and creatives web site, and all i can find is information about one of the set of jumpers (mic) thats all.

Yes you need the floppy connector connected to the back of the drive. To check if the drive is getting power remove one of the optical covers and see if theres a light behind it.

As for the firewire you would have to hook it up to a header on your mobo as the live card dosent have firewire support

Got it working and set up

All i did was plug my card in and install the front box and windows XP picked it all up.

Checked it works with headphones and mirophone on the front of the box and all is fine.

BUT


How do i get there remote to work >?

It does nothing at the moment. batteries are fine. Looked on Creatives web site and cannot fine anything of use.


Anyone out there, help me with using this remote control ? as when i bought the front box, it did not come with any cd's nor have i got any for my card. XP just picked it up (Pro)
