Hello everyone. I currently have around 2.5K budget for a gaming PC with intention of video editing & streaming.... and of course the most important thing... GAMING :)

Could you please guys take a look at this configuration for me and let me know if it is a good one.

- SuperFlower Leadex Platinum 1200W Fully Modular "80 Plus Platinum" Power Supply - White
- OcUK Value Blu-ray / DVDRW combi SATA - OEM
- Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) HDD
- Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 120GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Drive (SH103S3/120G)
- Asus GeForce GTX 980 DirectCU II OC Strix 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
- Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 PC4-21300C16 2666MHz Quad Channel Kit (CMD32GX4M4A2666C16)
- Corsair Hydro H105 240mm Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CW-9060016-WW )
- Asus X99-S Intel X99 (Socket 2011) DDR4 ATX Motherboard
- Intel 5820K 3.30GHz (Haswell-E) Socket LGA2011-V3 Processor - OEM (CM8064801548435)
- Corsair Graphite 760T Windowed Full Tower Gaming Case - White (CC-9011045-WW)

£2,284.78

Keep in mind that I'm gonna start off with a single GPU and then later one I might buy another GTX 980.

Thank you very much :)

This place already feels like home :)
lee32uk, thanks for noticing that I'm trying to do black & white aesthetic build. The cables and the light bar a great touches.

And here comes my ignorance and lack of time spending reading on the internet:

I've been using Asus and Corsair products for a quite a few years now and I feel really comfortable with their IO and features (...in a way).

Does going for the cheaper version will really affect performance in any way?

The other thing is that I've just read this thread (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18654818)
...and from what I understood is that it's better to have a solid motherboard, CPU, RAM and PSU and wait on the GPU market, instead of blasting all the money I saved for a couple of years?

Thank you :)

Cheers guys, you've been amazing :)

But can I ask what is/will be the major difference in x99 build vs. z97 build.
And keeping in mind that I would like system which will be on an upgradeable base.

Thank you.
