Hi guys, got some parts today to build up a custom loop (first time) but I am having 1 issue and 1 probably silly question.
Silly question first. XSPC dual bay res fitting into obsidian 650d. How do I mount this as mounting holes in the res dont line up with anything in the bay?
Issue now. I got a EKWB 670 full cover and got an MSI GTC 670 reference board to use it on. I have checked the compatibility on EKWBs website and it all checks out. I have followed the instructions with the block and have removed the stock cooler/heatsink from the card, and I have applied the supplied thermal pads. When I try to mate the block and the board, I can not for the life of me get it to sit on it uniformly. It feels like the card is rocking on one of the capacitors near the IO bracket which means either one side of the card/block sits properly or the other does if it is rocked to the other side. All the mounting holes line up, I have checked to make sure no thermal pads are in the way and I can't see any other thing to do. I have also tried screwing it down in case I was being paranoid but it started to bend the card to a degree I was not comfortable with so that was the end of that plan.
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem / have any suggestions?
Regards,
ONCB
