Hi guys!

My dad needs a new laptop!

He only uses it for: watching videos / music / web games - browse internet / officer stuff
Maybe some light gaming! civ 5 stuff like that

I have no clue whats good and what isn't!

My budget is £500

its an early xmas present!

Any help would be great!

p.s: win 7 would be a bonus! I've read lots of horror stories with windows 8 :x

Windows 10 is a lot better than 8(.1). If you still hate the Start Menu you can fix it by installing Classic Shell or some other Start Menu replacement apps.

There is an ASUS X555LA advertised on the web that is Broadwell, 1080p, 8GB and leave you almost enough in your budget to replace the 1TB disk with and SSD.
