Thought people might be interested to see some of them, more here: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/cebit2006.htm

Some nice info there Baddass.

Just wondering what your view on the new Samsung WS 244T monitor is?

As I am definetly leaning in the 24" monitor direction and was looking at the Dell 2405 or 2407. But I like the looks of this Samsung monitor and it has a lot of the Dell connections.

Is it worth trying to hold out to see what the Samsung is like?

(not that I could hold out for that long :p )

here's the official spec from it which was on show at CEBIT too:

looks like it will be the same panel as the Dell 2407WFP, might well be good, but until models with this panel are released, we won't know for sure. If they have improved responsiveness like they did with the 19" 6ms models like the 970P then it might be very nice indeed

People are already debating about this monitor in the US, as it's already available there. Now, from the users first hand experience it seems that it's suffering from the terrible LCD input lag. This lag (delay) may be triggered by combination of several factors: real response times, DSP, PVA/S-PVA panel types. It may happen that S-PVA panel used here have the worst lag, probably because of the massive use of overdrive. From the specs itself, it should produce the respectable colours reproduction, balance & contrast (as PVA generally offer). It seems that many people switched back to Dell 24" as the input lag is much less pronounced there. As the general note, all large screens have trend to suffer from the slight input lag. Of course, this is varied between the different panels and manufactures.

For you, best option is just to wait for the new Dell 24" screen, wait for more responses and reviews for the Samsung and see how it goes. Also, price tag for the Samsung is $1300 - $1400 (US) ... which seems rather optimistic.

It killing me waiting for the 2407 as I have found the 2405 at a reasonable price as well grrr
Also, bare in mind that it's still unclear what pricing tag the 2407 will have and what's the status of the Dell trading policy ... as Dell already claimed that they would not offer the monitors any more via the retailers channels (it seems that they are loosing the money now) and that you would have to buy from them directly.
