Some iPhone questions, again :)

Right, at work last night my dads best mate came to me

He has just got a 8gb iPhone 3g

He loves it , apart from a few niggly things. I knew some of the answers but for some i didn't know , do you?

1) Mms messaging. I know you can get a application to do it, but how easy is it to do it? Considering he is 40 odd !

2) Bluetooth. He is annoyed that you can't send/recieve things via this. Is there any app you can get to do this? I didn't know the answer

I am at work tonight, so if you could help me out that would be great:D
 
I can only answer 1.

MMS Messaging cannot be done as you know. The app you speak of is SwirlyMMS. However it is a third party app that doesn't abide by Apples daft appstore rules, so the chances of it appearing there are extremely slim. The app can be obtained by jailbreaking your iPhone and searching for it on Installer.app.
 
Bluetooth at the moment is limited to headsets, not sure why Apple have made it that way. Probably because of the record companies etc
 
Tell your Dads best mate he should've done his research before just buying the phone on aesthetics alone. :p He's not going to get either of those things without jailbreaking the phone, and it sounds like you'll have to do it for him :)

Another question

How do you forward a message, he can't fathom that!
 
You can only use bluetooth for headsets... People seem to forget how insecure a medium it is!

As for MMS, I don't wanna bring up the whole issue again - but I've probably used it once in the past.
