Different gels, still getting used to them.

In what sense are they not as good? IQ? I was a bit slack with focusing on the first three, relying more on DoF than accurate focus.

Looking like good experiements. Those gels deffo give a totally new colour effect as far as I am seeing.. Or is this due to you're R72 CWB?

They don't have the nice Nikon IR effect I've seen in others. The really nice white trees and things. They're a bit dark in places and over exposed in others.

Which Gels are these?

Quite interested in doing some IR photography but don't want to modify my 350D.

What would people recommend?

Oh, and number four is my favourite picture.

Ah right CyKey. That's just down to the filters & the usual challenge of bright skies against a darker foreground.

titchard ~ Just get a Hoya R72 screw in filter with a thread that suits your lens. As good a place as any to start with IR.

the white trees are a nice effect but trees in true Infra Red are a washed magenta look.
