Some ISO's resizing after restart...

I have this problem where some of my ISO's spontaneously resize after a restart. Initially they are in the 3-4gb range then after the restart then reduce down to 300-400mb.

At first i thought it was my archive software that dealt with the ISO's but i have removed that now and added a new one, however the problem still persists. It doesn't occur with all the ISO's, just some.

Anyone had this problem? Anyone have a solution or can recommend something i should check?

thanks

Have you run a fsck to determine the file system's integrity?

i can't do that at the moment as i do not have any linux install on my PC. None of the disk manager live cd's work either due to my chipset being rather new. Waiting for some stable version run on the latest kernel which is supposed to support my chipset.
Unless there are any free windows app's that will do it?
i would have though it would be fine. i have no problems with any other large files.

well i would if i was still having problems when in linux, however, being that this is all running under XP, this is the correct forum.

no they are on an ext3 drive. as are all of my personal files.

Whats the problem lol? I would love for my DVD's to reduce to 300/400 MB after they are 3.4 GB+ and still have all the video on it. :)
