Hi,
I am going to be hopefully going to the US to look for a new job around October time and will be there for a maximum of 3months. Now I can't drag my beast of a Lian Li V2000 watercooled pc over there
So I was thinking of getting a Laptop over there.
I have looked on the Dell Site and seen these 2 specs and just wanted your opinions. I would like to play Supreme Commander, Cod2 etc on this laptop too.
First Option:
My Components

160GB 7200rpm SATA Hard Drive
8X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability

Integrated Audio
My Accessories

Windows XP™
Intel Centrino Core Duo Processor
OR:
My Components
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T5300 (2MB Cache/1.73GHz/533MHz FSB)
FREE Upgrade to Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium with 1GB of memory
17 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen UXGA Display with TrueLife™
2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz
120GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability
256MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory
Integrated Audio
My Accessories
80 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945a/g
Dell Wireless 355 Bluetooth Internal (2.0 + Enhanced Data Rate)
Logitech QuickCam Fusion Web Camera
Carbon Fiber QuickSnap™ Cover
Also Includes
Integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem
Adobe® Acrobat® Reader 7.0
Inspiron 1705 Dual Core
Intel Centrino Core Duo Processor
Windows Vista™ Premium
Now the second laptop is on special at the mo with $500 off so it would in actual fact be £1100 and the First laptop, the XPS one works out at £1600
So is it worth spending the extra on the XPS? I know by the time I'll go there will be better laptops out there but it gives me an idea.
