Does these idles temps for my rig that's OC'd to 4.5GHz, OK? I'm just a bit concerned cause one core is about five degrees highers than the rest.

Oh, I just followed this themal application method below and dropped my temps by 6 degrees... :)

I can't believe all these years of building PC's I've been applying the thermal paste wrong!

All you Noctua NH-D14 owners, do you use or not use the supplied ultra low noise adapter? As I have used mine but not sure if there is significant increase in noise, if I don't use it.

All in all though my PC is fairly quiet though, with one fractal design 120mm fan at the front and one at the back and one fractal design 140mm at the bottom. Side panel and top panels are closed off in my fractal design R3.

Around 80C on a fairly warm day (or 25C ambient plus) tested by Linx with AVX support.. its about as hot as you'll ever get the cpu. I'd say around 75C prime95 load on a warm day is fine.
