Some more R600 info

Yea should be an amazing card, theve been working on this one for a while :)

Hopefully its true about the pcb size , as the new nvidia's are to long for my Matx Case.

Roll On february, R600 & ETQW o/ :D

Sounds awesome.
Can't wait to see how true it is :)
It would be quite funny to see them come out and just blow G80 away. Although how that may effect costs could be worrying.

WOW, specsa-mahoosive!!!! It says it's gona have a 12 layer PCB, how many layers are normal boards? Jut curious

Even funnier if it didnt after having 4-5 months more development.

Q.F.T!

It just has to beat it. No way can they have nearly half a year extra and it being pants!

But that article was rubbish... who was typing that thing, stevie wonder?!

10th Nov - 10th Dec - 10th Jan - 10th Feb.

4 months more time... max if they keep to their time... and maybe they wont rush making them like nvidia did (resistor problem).

If its what they say then Ati might make the £500 barrier too :(

lol i like that review i bet that 43% of its true im not a fanboy or anything but i hope they relase the r600 soon to create a price war grpahics card show down

Shocking, the standard of basic maths on here.

If Inq are right and it comes out on Jan 30th then it's a little over two and half months later than G80, not 4 months and not half a year! <shakes head at education standards nowadays> :p

Anyways, R600 will no doubt be a good performer, and I suspect that once again we'll see it trading blows with (the other) green team for the lead in games, with ATI leading in shader intensive stuff and G80 leading in fill rate etc. This is speculation on my part after reading that article though.

Looking forward to seeing it in action anyway.

Simon

Yeah it doesn't matter if they are late to the table as they always deliver, x1800 was late in coming out to go against the 7800 GTX, but its faster. :p
