amazing photos, I like the ones where they are snuggling up to each other. Were these done with a tripod?

Cheers for the comments!

The snuggling/courtship stuff is my fave as the pups get done to death and no one bothers as much with the courtship displays so it makes for something a bit different, if you can be bothered walking up and down spotting couples and waiting for them to kick off..

I use a tripod basically folded flat so the lens is only 6" off the ground, I lie down behind the camera, just gotta make sure everything is taped up and covered, last week there was a guy lying down behind me with a markIIN and a 600mm F4 wrapped in binbags, and all his kit next to him, flash cards/other lenses/etc.... when the tide comes in, it comes in 2ft at a time, I stood up and looked behind me and he got compltley drenched, I watched the front element of the 600mm F4 (£5k lens) fill with sea water... was pretty unlucky and I hope he was insured!

They have no souls!! Seriously, look at their eyes, blankness, nothing. :p

Some great pictures there, I like the splashing one, and the white young seal. :)

As a seal pup rehabilitation worker I can say that seals do have a soul, sometimes the sole of my wellington boot!

Great pics V-Spec, pics of white fluffy pups are pretty common, great to see pics of seals courting!
