One of the articles mentions that the game supposodly doesn't look like the screenshots and had a sluggish framerate, though it must be noted it seems they were playing the actual 360 version this time around.

george brussard and his "itll be done when its done", stupid overweight ****. looks like another daikatona. shame as duke is legend.

Shame because the pics look great imo.

More they show the less interest I have. For me this has gone from being a blind pre-order to it all depends on other factors now.

So far it looks like a dated multiplatform console based FPS/3rd Person action game.

After so long in development you would think it would have a lot more to show................

Meh, I don't care about the console version.

SHOW ME THE PC VERSION!, where it belongs.

Maybe with a sense of irony, the developers have made the console versions a bad port of the PC game seeing as it always happens the other way, and we get the raw deal.

To me it sounds like the game will allow you to do everything you have wanted to do in previous FPS games, but were frustrated to not be able to. It also sounds a bit like Postal, as the graphics on that weren't great but I still enjoyed it because of the outrageousness.

From what I've read the only reason people are getting all pee pants about it is due to the combat not following today's trend of HIDE BEHIND WALL SHOOT OVER WALL. Very fast paced and very similar to the style of combat found in FPS games such as 90's Duke, Doom and Quake. I can't wait.

Yeah you can't really pull that kind of gaming off on a console so sucks to be a console gamer when you can't use Halo dynamics lol :p

We'd only recently upgraded to windows 98 when the development started. I doubt much of the early stuff would be usable. IIRC they spent most of the time porting it between various versions of the quake and unreal engines.

I take pretty much all reviews with a pinch of salt these days. I found some time ago that what reviewers consider great games really don't measure up in my reckoning and I find myself drawn to games that either reviews were unfavourable towards or didn't acknowledge at all. If Morgan's (I'm not spelling your name in numbers :p) guess is correct, that'll make me plenty happy.

This, oh my god this.

Whilst I find the SP aspects of MW/MW2 fantastic and enjoyable (if a little short), give me a shooter in the Doom/Quake/HL mould any day.

Couldn't ask for more :D
