Some new shots. Personally knowing it's running at 60fps with tonnes of physics and other vehicles with good AI, I'm pretty impressed. Enjoy.

SNAZZY!

Looking forward to this, haven't enjoyed a racing game since PGR3 tbh, I loved that MP.

Looks slick (I'm reserving final judgement till I see some in game videos).

This is one of the games I am holding onto my 360 and Live for. Hope it lives up to the hype.

I would prefer if they would show proper in game shots, behind the car, in the car rather than replay looking shots, while they look nice, they dont offer much in the way of what we can expect.

I gotta agree with above, replay modes etc are all very well, but i'd rather see some actual in game footage as i always skip past replays.
Show some in car stuff, or beind the car etc.
Does Forza 2 have a full in car view too does anyone know?

I see the car texture wraps are decreasing in quality as I expected in order to free up system memory and keep the fps up. Still looks good though.

First thing that struck me was the car skins, the aliasing on them and some compression noise, hopefully that's just down to it being a jpeg though.

Not impressed.

If the ingame looks worse than that i'll be dissapointed.
What are you expecting? It looks bloody good.
Don't expect a driving game to run at 60fps and look like Gears of War!

I'm sure the manufacturers will look at the other racing titles available and know what they have to beat, I don't think the game could fail.
There's a lot of hype around this game so hopefully it will live up to expectations.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. At the end of the day this generation (graphically speaking) is going to be limited by the amount of memory there is available for textures.

I keep looking at the models in GT:HD and you'll be able to answer this better than me, and it looks so good because it's only one car and the track, so there's more memory.

There are 10 cars in game, 1 car on the road and you are correct, 1 environment. This does free more space.

It also doesn't have car decals, it's 1 colour, there are no particle effects, no dynamic lighting and the surrounding objects around the road are low resolution and dull. For every one thing that looks good in GT:HD there are about 3 things that don't.

Personally I don't think GT:HD looks that good when moving and believe me, when you are playing, it's that slow you might have to double take to make sure those frames are ticking by. It's one of, if not the slowest racing game I have ever played.

If you like racing games then this would be the one to go for.

It is so not about graphics, you are paying the money to play a game with Forza's attention to details and gameplay. People seem to be forgetting this.

I don't think it is really fair to compare GT:HD to anything as it is still just a prettied up port and nothing else.

I wonder if they reduced some textures to free up the memory for physics etc since the 360 has the shared memory.

This game offers so much more in terms of realism, upgrades and vehicle choice than any other game on the 360. It's not all about the graphics, as long as they are reasonable quality like in the screens above I'll be happy, it's more about the driving realism with the ability to tune a wide variety of everyday cars that gets me wanting to buy this game. Even if the graphics were like Forza 1 on xbox I'd be happy because even those look half decent today still.
