some new items help

i have a fairly old pc and it seems slow and rubbish but if some more ram and an ssd would make it speedy ill buy them unless its worth upgrading

athlon64 x2 4600
1.5gig of ram ddr2
asus a8n sli
radeon x700 se

but if i decide not to bother with this and buy new what will match as ive never had intel before

i5 ivy cpu K version

motherboard? £70 -80 idealy with onbaord graphics as i dont want to buy a graphics card yet

ram ? £40?

psu £ 50

plug and play SSD nothing that requires updating or flashing or what ever otherwise ill just use the standard hdd out of mycurrent pc a 250 gig sata

i have xp and windows 7 but currently using xp

i have a sata drive yes but no sata dvd drives but there only £12 - 15 no really to costly.

jamesfreddie i like the second one , what graphics card would i be able to run on the 450 watt supply? i probaly wouldnt want nothing major just £100 - £150 MAX card

You could run a card upto about a HD7850, but only with a mild overclock to about 4.2GHz on the CPU.

If you where to go upto about 4.5GHz i would reccomend getting a larger PSU something 550W and above.
