ASUS P5Q Pro
E5200
2GB corsair 800MHZ XMS2 TwinX

I'll be overclocking this, i have an Arctic cooler 7.
Also will a 450W OCZ be able to power this? (i'm on an AMD 4000 now)

I'm hoping this will all be good?

Tytytyty :D

450 should be fine if you only have one gfx card? and its not a 280 or 4870x2? if yes to either of these you'll prob need more, if not you'll be fine
All looks good, but why you not getting 4 gig of RAM? its really cheap at moment anyway

450w will be more than enough. People need to stop recommending large power supplies. Most of the time they are not needed. I installed a Zalman ZM-MFC2 multifunction controller in my main rig this afternoon and was shocked at what i found. It tells you real time power consumption amongst other things and the rig in my siggy draws 161w at idle, 205w while running Intel Burn Test (IBT) and 274w when running IBT and Fur stability test. Let's face it. You are'nt going to stress a pc out any more than that. There's me with a 750w psu and only using around 37% of it's capabilities.

You should get a nice clock with that lot. Remember to use the high multiplier of the E5200 as they don't like high fsb's. No more than 1.45v vcore either. Ideally no more than 1.4v. :)

Couldnt agree more is pastymuncher, i think everyone has got into the habbit of just uping the PSU with every new build, of course a lot of new hardware uses less power than older stuff due to there being such a focus on carbon footprint and things.

Thanks guys, I am only using one 7900GT so looks like it will be fine.

I was told that 32bit can only use 2GB? Or atleast it doesn't make use of all of it. Is it worth buying still?
