Trying Plan B with the overclocking the 7960

Using " By Core Usage "

Seems to be working OK, Temps are looking good and it's boosting very nicely, 5.21GHz on core 12

Have also managed to get the 2400 RAM chugging along at 2933

Wow this just makes these HEDT CPUs viable for gaming! Does it always boost core 12 and 13 to the highest (on your specific sample)? Or every core can do that in turn?

Not sure mate, just noticed it. I think that it boosts depending on current temp / volts etc of individual cores. I'll keep an eye on HWInfo and see if I can spot any trends.

Have you installed Intel® Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0? I hope not, cuz I want to see every core each given a chance.

No issue with it. Just my OCD that it tends to always pick the same core with the best silicon quality. Makes me feel my CPU asymmetric.
I think that's where things are going - "favourite core" etc. Would be best if it did it on more than a single metric though, like combination of previous performance and voltage behaviour.
