My housemate is getting a new(ish) pc and his old one will no longer be needed. Its a pentium 400mhz, 64ram, windows 95 onboard graphics badboy. The plan is to stick it in the front room as an old games machine.

Ive put Blood on it and it runs great im also going to get hioctance on it.

What other really good games are there that will run fine on it and windows 95? oh, its god a nice big 3gb hard drive!

C&C or Red Alert, probably even Tiberian Sun.

Quake, Quake 2, maybe Quake 3, and all the Doom series! :D

It would certainly benefit from a couple sticks of RAM though, i'm assuming SDRAM? It's pretty cheap stuff these days. :)

[Edit] From what I can see on the 'bay, you can get 256MB SDRAM for around a tenner. Certainly an advisable upgrade.

I dont know about your graphics card, but one of my poorer mates plays mohaa on a pent. 500 mhz, geforce 2 mx 32 mb and 64 mb ram.

Any of the Janes/EA combat sims, but esp. Longbow 2.

Only trouble is you really need a 3dfx/Voodoo 2 card to appreciate the graphics of what was (IMHO) one of the best military/dynamic/campaign simulations ever created.

are yes. used to love F22 lightening 2. Not really a proper sim game (or a sim game at all) but it was great fun to play
