The 'college is closed' and the one with the really blurry close up bikes I don't like. Big blurry stuff right up in the foreground makes me feel a bit queasy for some reason, perhaps they are tricking me into thinking somethings about to hit me in the face I don't know. All the others are nice photos though :)

I like the ginger beard man one, really good beard detail!

I also just noticed some epic flying bin bag action too, nice!

I came in expecting oxford street
Nice lens & decent processing, some good shots, along with quite a few I would've left out :p
Some of the 'candids' I like but some other 'candids' don't really say anything to me (sorry!)
I ilke the flying bag though

I can't say they do anything for me, way too random, just people walking in the street. They are just walking, there is no thought into it, photos of people on mobile phones? Don't get it.

What's the photo of the dog and the one above with the woman picking her nose about?

And the photos of bicycles, they would work a lot better if you stand back, get the context in, frame the colour of the wall that the bike is leaning on, make that be the canvas.

The only photo that I linger on is the kid photographing the phone box, the composition and balance between the 2 and the big gate works.

Sorry I sound blunt...better cruel to be kind and all that. :)

I was just documenting Oxford, it's atmosphere, and it's way of life as I walked around it. That's the only point tbh.
The lady that was scratching her nose was a crazy person (as in completely bonkers), she happened to be waiting for the same bus as me.

I you haven't noticed, there is often a wide shot and a detail shot of the bicycles. The wide shot is to add context.

Cool

No worries mate. :)

I like the guy photographing the red phone box, nice balance, the bright red contrasts the beige walls, photographs of people taking photographs often have interest (especially photographs of artists painting scenes), and the Keep Clear sign adds a little fun even if it means vehicles.

the rest of the photos have nice processing and are sharp but are really a mixed bag compositionally for me and tend to have limited interest. SO I kind of agree with Raymond and Zogger here.

Here are a few other comments:

Photo 5 of the couple doesn't really work for me, they are too small, too centered and nothing of interest happening?

photo 6 could do with more of the hand bag in the frame, she is cropped quite tonight on the bottom and there is a lot of space in the top of the frame, yet she is the main subject which you have highlighted by having the background soft. I would think a complete body, or at least waist up would have worked better.

Photo 7, a no smoking sign, why is this supposed to interest me? I can see in the background some nice buildings which makes me ask the question, why weren't you photographing some of the amazing architecture Oxford has? None of the photos really shows how beautiful the buildings in oxford are.

The bikes with a very shallow DoF does nothing for me, the photo I have in mind is to show the large line of bikes, either side on or if you grab a step to get higher a kind of top down view, looking 45 degrees downwards showing the bikes trailing off into infinity. Oxford is known for the many bikers and a photo showing the scale of bike users would be very nice (and profitable on a stock agency), a shallow DoF of some bikey blur doesn't hold my attention.

The dog photos are pretty dull, the dog is not looking at the camera or anything else that the viewer can appreciate. It is just a dog on a leash? I have seen photos of your own dog that are much nicer to look at.

Frot to say, the set has a nice consistency in style and processing, something I'm struggling to achieve after many years!

Interesting feedback, just wanted to add that I really liked the bike shots!

It's a bit of a hit and miss set for me, like I said I love the bike shots but the shots through windows seem a bit out of place and I'm never a big fan of shots of the back of people unless there is a view or something for them to be looking at.

As others have said though great colours, some good use of DOF and impressive consistency.

Processing used to be a right PITA for me. Then I found a style I liked, so now my workflow just involves correcting exposure and WB if necessary, then I run a batch action.

some nice shots, I also walk around Oxford taking street photography.maybe we should meet up!

Sure, my next trip into Oxford will probably be near Christmas if it snows, as I'd like to document a different season.
