Hi All,

I had a flat tyre yesterday so I went around to my mates garage to see what he could do for me... normally get one for free, or for next to nothing... what can I say I'm not rolling in it, and I bet that you all would...

Anyway I turned up to see a 57 plate (about 3 months or so old) Fiesta with about four guys standing around it looking laughing while drinking tea and smoking (outside the garage)... I didnt think any more about it and went to see my mate...

After finding out that I would have to fork out for a new tyre my mate said to me "Have you seen that Fiesta outside?" to which I answered yer, there is quite a crowd gathered around it, and he told me to go have a look at the thing...

When I got there I would see swirl marks on parts of the bonnet and on the roof... and was really curious to know what had happen to the car... so I asked one the mechanics there what had happened who replied..

"AH well you see a guy came in yesterday with this brand new car, he must have only been 21... he was cleaning it and say some bird poo on the bonnet and roof, and so decided to use a brillo pad on it to get it off"

Now to me thats just plain silly, I mean what did he expect? and one other amazing thing about it was, and I quote something that my mate added to the conversation "He is a newly qualified teacher, and he is teaching physics in secondary school"... I mean a teacher as well! I thought that he would have known better...

Have you had, or been in any situations where you think why, just why would you do that??

you can see his train of thought, but dayum, I don't think there's much track left for it to run on!

He was lucky that the car valeter use to work for Jag and said that he has dealt with things like this in the past, he didnt even T cut it!

What you have to remember is, if he's newly qualified, it's not been long since he was a student and we all know how blessed they are with common sense don't we. ;)

T-cut is a cutting compound which contains tiny abrasive particles in a creamy solution that effectively finely sands your paint down, but it only removes microscopic layers and dead pigments within the paint.

I live with two girls doing a teaching course for secondary education and its really quite scary that they will soon be 'teaching' children!

I know some Oxford 1st class honours people who are genius in their field, but get confused in the most simple situations.

Experience > Intelligence... (well, sometimes :p)

Common sense and intelligence do not always go hand in hand.

Sadly I've noticed theres no links at all..

I know some people who are academically geniuses but don't have a clue when any sort of situations arise unless they have already read it in a book

Heres something shocking!...

A girl i knew in 6th form (who got A's) didn't know her way home from school without taking the bus and she lived in the same town about 20 minutes walk from the school!!

I think you'll find thats just women in general, i'm sure if all her favourite shoe shops were on that journey, she'd remember it!
