Some questions about latest Mac Pro

I want to buy a Mac Pro, but I got some questions about it:

1. It has optical sound output. Can I connect my Z5500 speaker system to it, and achieve 5.1 surround?
2. How fast is the Xeon 2,8 GHz CPU, compared to an Intel Q6600?
3. What components inside a Mac Pro can be upgraded?

2. a far bit faster depending on what apps you video editing/sound you gunna notice it more. (your only going for the 1 cpu option not the 8 core?)
3. RAM,HDD,PCI Cards,GFX, (CPU Sort of be expensive and maybe a pain because of how its behind the caging)

1. Yes
2. Faster. Its 400Mhz quicker and its the new Penryn cores not the Conroe version that the Q6600 is. I'd say anywhere between 10 and 20% quicker depending on what your doing.
3. Everything pretty much, although only memory, HDs and optical drives are "user installable". Can change processors tho but 771 Xeons cost a BOMB!

I haven't found an application that could truly stress this thing.

Even with Folding or Seti@home running on 8 cores it's just smokin
