This is getting confusing, I'll keep it as short as I can.
First off, is there a way to check the spec of our Mini like BMW has? The reason being that it's showing as a CVT on the mechanic's system, but I'm pretty sure it's a manual, I depress the clutch and change gears and everything! I'd also be very surprised to hear that MINIs could come with a CVT, the last car I heard of with a CVT was an antique old Volvo and after that the Nissan whateveritscalled SUV thing.
Secondly, it's going for a new clutch. Shall I get the flywheel done too? What does a flywheel go for nowadays? It's not a DMF is it? (R50 Mini One).
It's her car and she loves it so any words of "replace it" are shot down in flames so rather just baby the thing and keep it in as good nick as possible.
