Ok so I have finally saved 1000 shinny coins and I plan to upgrade my granny (aka current rig)… so after a couple of weeks of reading / researching I have come up with the following…

Thermaltake Jr Armour with OCZ 850W PSU
Asus S775 P35-E
Q6600 with Thermalright IFX-14 (build quailty can be poor I no but i have my sand paper ready  )
4 * OCZ 1GB PC2-6400 DDR Platinum
8800GTX 768MB with HR-03-Plus Cooler
Hitachi – T7K500 – 320GB
Samsung 20x DVD writer

Plus a load of fans/thermal compound etc…

Now I hope to be able to get around 3.6 GHz out of the Q6600, is that realistic on the above mobo / ram?

Any suggestions welcome

Picked the OCZ over the much loved Corsair purely because I have one. :p

You get thermal compound etc with the Tuniq AFAIK.

Forgot the HR, Just add 30quid.

I'd lay off until the 29th is plain daft to buy a gtx at the moment there could well be a price drop when the 8800gt hits.
For quad i'd get an Abit ip-35 pro.

thanks for the replies :)

I really want this before 29th happens to be my birthday!? Have taken 26th and 29th off work so i can sit and play with my new toy
