Some Recent Pics... C&C Please!!!

Well, here's a few pics. Fairly random subjects. All exif info should be attatched. C&C welcome!

1) Balcombe Viaduct. I took this on a shoot for the recent 'Perspective' compo. I had a few others which I liked which would almost certainly have bettered what I did enter.

2) Night Shot. I took a few of these, with the shutter speed at 16" (longest exp on my camera). Note that it was pitch dark and in the woods at the rear of my house, and running around randomly firing flash guns in the dark is a bit hit and miss! I had a few other ok ones, but this is my fave.

3) A shot at Ardingly Reservoir one evening. I took a few of these, again this being my favourite. I appreciate that there is a fair bit of noise going on in this image!

4) A shot of a Robin today. I went to Wakehurst place, which has a large supply of tameish wild birds. You can get 3 feet away from some of them at some points in the gardens. I did take quite a few, but this and the duck were my favourite.

5) I really like this picture. It to me shows the duck's character off nicely. He was quite friendly, and was happily waddling toward me for this shot. Not an ideal background though.

6) A Daffodil. I took this at another National Trust place on Sunday (can't remember the name though).

7) Same as above but a little tweaking of the levels and some croppage. I'm currently using this as my wallpaper.

8) A boat at Brighton Marina. I like the colours in this shot. I took a few similar pictures to this, but this is the best imo.

Somebody please critique my pics!

For all I know I'm doing it wrong! :D

Cheers for the comments!

I have quite a few others of the Viaduct, which I really should've considered entering into the perspective compo. They were a bit more contemporary than merely a view along the outside. I took various shots through the arches and from ground level viewing upwards.

The night photos were quite good fun, I recommend giving it a go. Just *try* to be discreet whilst doing it though, otherwise people start to wonder....!
