Some Safedisc/Securom games disabled by a Windows Update KB3086255

Not sure what games it still affects but MS have disabled it so you may find some older titles stop working. The workaround is here:

Its also a little naughty of MS to disable this instead of work with the vendor to update the file or give it a new digital certificate!

This is something of a copout on MS's part. I'm sure I am not alone in the guilty pleasure of replaying the occasional older game.

At least there is a workaround I suppose.

Another case of DRM screwing over the legitimate customers :/

Obviously MS could've been more helpful in this case but to be honest I don't completely blame them for their decision.
