Very annoyed.
Mrs moved my car in the morning to the road outside my house to make way for the skip that was arriving.
Between 7am and 9am someone took a key down all four panels on the driver's side :(
I noticed as I was about to leave for a meeting.
Very upset. The damage is one thing but the fact that my car was targeted means I am worried about ever leaving it off my drive again!

oh man that is terrible, had it done to my M5.
show us some pics let us see how bad it is.

must say it seems very odd to happen at that time of day.
you sure it was not done somewhere yesterday and you not noticed ?

I have some pics, will share once the kids are in bed.
It's very annoying. Mrs is adamant that they were not there when she moved it.
She was stood by the door fiddling with the key fob and didn't notice them.
Either way, it was not there the evening before.
I was fiddling with the wipers last night at about 7pm and I would have seen for sure.

I would have said kids but they're off this week I think. That sounds seriously unlucky if it got keyed as soon as it was taken off the drive :(

It was parked mounted on the kerb outside my house.
Then it was parked on the road, not mounted on the kerb.
I believe it was the second location where it was keyed.

Honestly I'd go postal if I caught someone vandalizing my stuff. Gutted for you mate, this is quite a new car too isn't it?

Maybe looks worse in person, but those photos look quite superficial, imagine some good compound like G3 paste will get rid of most of that with some patience and elbow grease.

I can feel the mark with my nail in places on all panels, its down through the topcoat and into the primer. Its hard to get it to photograph well on this colour.

Not sure it will polish out :(

There's this general rule, if you can feel it with your nail it's too deep. I hate people who damage others property. Such a scummy thing to do. I don't know how I'd react if i cought someone doing that to my car.

Whilst this is true, a decent cutting compound will soften the edges of the scratch and make it far less obvious to the eye. Throw in some touch up paint (smear it on, then buff it back) and it should be pretty much invisible from a distance of more than 2ft.

Indeed, and wet-sanding would be better still.

My routine is to use a tooth pick to put the paint into the scratch until it is higher than the surrounding paint. Then wet & dry it level to the rest of the paint with 1500, 2500 and 5000. Then polish to finish it off.

Well of course touch up paint will make it less obvious. There was a good video from the detailer guy from US who worked on a deep key mark, I'll post it up. Might be worth a shot but it'll depend on the colour imo as how visible it'll be at the end.
