I everyone I've had my current network up and running for years and never had a problem till a few days ago. It's a Virgin media 20mb connection linked to a Netgear wireless N router.

Basically everything I use is connected via wireless, and over the past few days my connection is crazy. I never actually loose connectivity but for example right now OcUK is loading fine but in another tab Facebook won't. Now if I quit Safari, turn my wireless off/on, turn device off/on it will work again. It sounds like a problem with my MacBook but my iPhone is doing the exact same thing.

I've rang Virgin and they done some modem tests and said everything is fine. I've reset my router, loaded the settings I've had backed upon for years and done pretty much everything I can think of but I still have the problem. Signal is full all the time too.

Can anyone offer some advice? This is driving me crazy.

I am interested in trying Google Public DNS, but I have a question.

If I adjust the DNS settings on my router will that mean the new settings apply for every device that connects to it, or will I have to also change the DNS settings on each individual device?

Thanks.
