HI i was wondering if i could have a little advice Thanks,
I did a full format last night on my windows XP machine thinking it was booting to slow to find even when formated with nothing installed it would still take to long when it starts i get the black screen with white writing after that it then go's black for ages and after about 5 minutes the grey blocks come up at bottom to show it is booting but it then takes about 2 minutes for them to fill up before it go's to the windows loading screen when the computer is booted up all is fine to me it seems like it's a hardware prob any ideas Thanks

first of all grammar would help

might be a GPU problem

Well it's not really going to be that good when i had only been up 5 minutes
but i am going to try a friends different hardware devices today see if i can find the exact problem

This sounds as if it could be trying to identify a device or a network.

Unplug all your peripherals such as printers and scanners and so on and see if that improves matters.

Well i found out the problem i tried a friends HD and is all good so looks like im have to invest in a new one ty for all the help though ^^
