Some Upgrades..

Was thinking of upgrading some of my current PC parts.

I have about a £600 budget, my current specs are:

Case - Xigmatek Asgard Pro Gaming Case
CPU - i5 3570k
GPU - IceQ 3GB 7970
Motherboard - GIGABYTE Z77-D3H ATX (1155)
RAM - Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz
PSU - 550W XFX PRO Core Edition 80 Plus Bronze

Obviously I don't have the money to upgrade anything but was thinking of upgrading everything apart from the GPU and RAM for now. My CPU does struggle on more CPU heavy games so I think that would be a good starting point, obviously I'd need to upgrade the motherboard as well as it wouldn't fit a 1151 socket.

Cpu isn't too bad if you ask me.

Most of that money would go on a gpu if it was me.

Depend how much gaming you do i guess.

I play a lot of games like Arma 3 etc which depend highly on the CPU, the i5 always causes me to stutter sadly.

This Skylake bundle works out a fair bit cheaper. Not much difference between an i7 6700K and i7 7700K. Don't forget you will also need some DDR4 Ram.

The XFX psu should be fine to reuse if you are just planning on a single gpu setup.

That may be, but the gpu will hold you back more unless running at low res.
